Te Reo on TV

It is probably still the most common form of media, soon to be outdated, but TV can help bend and shape opinions and Maori TV are making a ka pai effort with their channel. Funded by NZ on Air, the wide range of shows other than news compliment Maori language poetically, and the coverage of sports is also a figurehead for young Maori to be inspired by.

Code is currently hosted by Jenny May Coffin and Wairangi Koopu, their effortless transition from Te Reo to English during interviews and presenting is engaging and surely a motivation for young Maori, kahore tatari, young New Zealanders to learn Te Reo.
