Compared with our cousins across the ditch we don’t appear to be doing so badly.
Alarmingly many Aboriginal languages are endangered and only have a few speakers left in differing dialects. Australians appear to be completely oblivious to the fact that they are home to some of the world’s language diversity hotspots. Their languages holding so many stories to one of the oldest civilisations on the planet.
An Aussie blogger has been tracking New Zealand’s progress, and likes it enough to report back to his folk. I’m sure we can lend hand.
